…a short video about some of the things we did during the Workshop
The Universitur team is packing up this weekend and going on a preparation visit at the project venue (in Corbi) to make sure everything is good and ready for our wonderful participants. With only 16 days to go, we have to fluff all the pillows and send the mosquitoes away so we can have the best workshop we can have.
Aside from being mosquito whisperers, we’ll meet with the local school and make preparations for the participants to see the local community through the eyes of its youngest.
We’re really looking forward to this workshop and if good weather song and dance are part of your culture (they are a part of ours), please brush up on your incantations as we will do the same! We’ll be back from our visit with teaser photos, just so you can see what you can see when you’ll be actually here 🙂
We have finally chosen the participants and we are looking forward to meeting them all for an incredible Grundtvig workshop! They come from 8 different countries, as it follows: Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey and Bulgaria.
We’re very happy and anxious to meet them and to use non-formal methods in order to share our identity, be it different or more alike than we though.
PS: There’s also a back-up list, just as we announced it would be. By now, everyone should have been notified of the selection results and some of you have already answered and you’ve been very kind accepting to be in stand-by, in case a place opens up. Thank you all for being absolutely wonderful!
It’s really hard choosing only 10 out of 70 amazing candidates! Here’s what criteria we’re using to help us decide:
– the candidate’s interest in our specific topic and methodologies;
– the candidate’s motivation to take part in our workshop;
– the understanding that the workshop will not focus on improving photography skills;
– the candidate’s background and context;
– cultural diversity;
– age diversity;
– gender balance.
Our team’s flair and intuition counts for something as well 🙂
Keep an eye on your inbox this week! You should receive an email from our team (Universitur Romania) informing you of the selection results. If you haven’t received an email by the end of the week (and you’ve checked your spam folder, but it isn’t in there either), please write to us so we can fix the situation.
Selecting only 10 participants out of 70 candidates is quite a difficult task to begin with, but given what great applications we’ve received, it was definitely no easy task for us!
Thank you all for taking an interest in our Grundtvig workshop and sending in your applications!
